Morrison Media Consultants is led by John Morrison, an award-winning former journalist who has held many senior posts in broadcasting and print journalism.
John began his career at ITN, where he produced a wide range of output including News at Ten. He helped to launch Channel 4 News and was programme editor for the show's first four years. He then spent some time in Fleet Street as the first features editor of The Independent. The BBC recruited him to be editor of Newsnight and he went on to hold a succession of other senior BBC editorial positions. These included: editor BBC2 Assignment; editor BBC1 Six O’Clock News; deputy head of BBC Radio News; editor of BBC TV News Programmes; and editor of News and Current Affairs at BBC World Service.
John shared a Broadcasting Press Guild award for his work on Channel Four News. Under his editorship Assignment won a gold and a silver nymph at the Monte Carlo Television Festival. John was nominated for a BAFTA for his work on Newsnight.
